Artistic License Disclaimer

Every cake we make is hand-made. Decorative finishes are done by hand and are subject to the artistic interpretation of our professional cake designer. You may provide us with a photograph for inspiration and duplication; however, we make no claims for exact duplication of the work done by other cake decorators.

If ribbons are part of your cake design, we suggest that you provide the ribbon for the cake at least one month prior to the event. This ensures that the ribbon is the exact color and size you desire. Once we know the size and shape of your cakes, we will let you know the amount of ribbon to purchase.
It is also up to the bride/groom to provide color swatches for us to use. We will strive to match your colors as close as possible. Keep in mind that some colors may change or alter due to lighting/sunlight.
When working with food grade dyes, perfect color matches are sometimes impossible. Dark colored icings have a tendency to darken further in time, humidity and heat. The darker colors may also stain teeth and have some residual flavor.

Ordering Your Cake

Changes in size and flavors can be made up to four weeks before the wedding. A lot of planning and purchasing of supplies and equipment go into preparing for your cake. Any changes involving decorations and style may involve extra charges. If changes are significant an amendment to contract or new contract will be necessary. We are not able to make any changes to the final order after the four week deadline.
The total cost of a cake depends on various factors, such as – servings needed, decoration detail, cake flavor, and /or filling, type of icing and delivery. A consultation is necessary to provide an accurate cost of a cake. Most of our wedding cakes range in price from $350 – $800. A small 60 serving wedding cake can start at $275. and a large, elaborate cake can start at $1500. Keep your cake budget in mind when selecting a design and/or flavors.
Did your caterer also tell you to order only enough plates of food for 75% of your expected guests? NOT likely! Order enough cake to feed all of your guests. We also are willing to make small cakes for those with special dietary needs. The LAST thing any guest wants to hear is that the bride and groom didn’t order enough cake so they’re going to have to do without.
Bakers have options available for most budgets. The first question you ask when contacting a baker is NOT “How much is ____?”, ask instead “I have a budget of $(at least 4-6/per person) to feed ___ people, what options do you have available?” Don’t be afraid to state what your budget is! Bakers hate having their time wasted designing a $3000 design when your budget is not even remotely close to that. Bakers also are willing to work within your realistic budget if you give them a figure to work with. By realistic budget, that is somewhere in the $4.50/slice to $7/slice range by the time all add-ins are calculated such as delivery.
A Kitchen Cake is a plain 2 layer buttercream iced wedding cake that has absolutely no icing decorating on it, however it is kept in the kitchen. This cake is not decorated like the main wedding cake is, but is the same cake flavor. Because of the reduced decorating time, this can save you a little money on your cake. Kitchen cakes are only available when a 3-tier bridal cake is not enough. Not available with orders less 100 servings.
The closer to your wedding that the cake is prepared, the better it will taste. BUT, anyone who tells you that they can bake a wedding cake in a day is not telling you the truth, or isn’t being realistic. Due to the complicated nature of wedding cakes, they usually take between three and five days.

I will try to coordinate my delivery time with the time that your florist is expected to be at the reception venue. Please be sure you are using nontoxic flowers and greenery that is to be placed on the cake.

My specialty is custom wedding cakes and the prices are determined according to how intricate the details.

Our cakes are priced with 12 basic filling choices. We also offer, at an additional charge, 9 other filling of which are more labor intensive and ingredient expensive.

Yes, they are. The price varies based on the complexity of the design.

If you are planning a Saturday or Holiday weekend wedding, these days book months in advance. The answer is ASAP.

Thing To Consider

30 days prior to the event. There will be a $5.00 late charge assessed for every day that the payment is late! At this point, payment MUST be made in cash.

Where did he/she receive her training? How many wedding cakes has he/she done? Will this be his/her first? You want him/her to experiment on your wedding? This is not a birthday cake! Does he/she know about the foundation inside the cake so it doesn’t topple over? The icing designs on the cake must be precise. Is he/she going to set your cake on a piece of foil covered plywood or are you going to purchase a silver base? A wedding cake must be centered on each tier, and level on each tier (you don’t want your cake leaning).

This is one of the most important days of your life. That cake will be the most photographed at your wedding next to your dress. Hire a professional cake designer; it will be worth every penny. If you are not happy with the cake your cousin makes you there will always be hard feelings. You don’t want that!

This is not a birthday cake, so if it gets damaged it’s a big deal. It’s your wedding cake! This is one of the most important days of your life! Have it delivered!

I am a small business and part of my service is to be with that cake until it is delivered to the venue, set up on the table, and the final decorations are put on it. If it gets damaged during setup (like a fresh flower toppling down the front of the cake and messing up the frosting), I will be there and can repair it so it will be perfect for your pictures.

The wedding cake is more than just the ingredients. In most cases, the ingredients are the least expensive part of the cake. You are paying for the expertise of the cake designer and labor. When you see the wedding cakes being made on the cake competitions and bakery shows on TV, you must realize that much of the film is left on the cutting room floor. So what seems to take only seconds to do on TV, in real life may take hours to accomplish. The more detailed the cakes design (more time involved) the higher the price. The simpler the cakes design (less time involved) the lower the price.

Some brides have made the decision to make their own wedding cake only having disastrous results. The best advice is to hire a professional. Remember next to your dress, the wedding cake is a wedding’s most photo icon. Enjoy your wedding; leave the wedding cake to the professionals.

With the hundreds of wedding every weekend in Florida, I suggest that the sooner the better. Most cake designers get booked far in advance. If you have a cake designer that you really want to make your wedding cake, it is best to order your wedding cake 6 months to a year before the wedding to assure that you can retain their services.

Schedule a cake consultation/taste testing, estimate the number of servings of cake you’ll need, sign a contract and pay the retainer fee to hold the day for your wedding. A month before the wedding you should be able to finalize the number of servings of cake and pay the balance due on the cake.
